Re: is there??

You can get the same mileage with a manual LS1 car as you can with the 3.8 car.

Re: is there??

Only packages I'm aware of that the 3.8's came with was either the Y87 package or the Firebird GT package. Both only add up to about 10 hp, so it's still far from the 235 claim.

You currently have the V6 car, so you know the mileage.

Mine got 22.5 MPG around town with a cam in it, and 27.5 MPG on the highway...cammed at the time also.
Never tested it in town, but she got 31 MPG on the highway a couple times before installing the cam.
I am not the only one either. Plenty of guys see those numbers. LS1.com/LS1tech.com etc.

my formula is auto as you guys know an dl tested it many times and l got 370 miles per tank ( with 14.5 gallon gas) it was pretty good because my wife's mercury (v6) was getting 400 miles per tank. so mine wasnt that bad.. but now with missifire, my gas mileage is so bad. 250 miles per tank in city.

I'm pretty sure all Firebirds and Camaro's came with a 15.5 gal gas tank. I heard somewhere that the newer Firebirds/Camaros from 98-02 came with a 16.6 gal tank, but I'm not too sure about that, haven't been able to verify it anywhere.

that should make it better on gas then, lol. Intake and exhaust free up hp and get BETTER on gas. more air in, free flowing out.
