Horn Issue - how to access?

While driving my wife's 2002 Venture recently I pushed the horn and it became stuck. I ended up having to pull the fuse under the hood.

I replaced the relay and fuse but it's still stuck so this leads me to believe it's the horn contact under the steering wheel.

I took a quick look at how to get to this but it does not seem easy. Anyone have any pointers?

Thanks...

Re: Horn Issue - how to access?

My manual shows the use of a special tool to remove the air bag, and the horn switch is part of the air bag assembly. The tool looks like a flat "Y" with the tips bent over at the ends of the "Y". These tips go into the back side of the steering wheel to bend back clips, releasing the air bag. You then do the same on the other 2 slits on the backside of the steering wheel.

Sorry - hard to describe, but it sounds like you might want to talk with the dealer about it first. Maybe they know about problems with these years horns or something.

Hope this helps....Glen
