Engine wiring

Just a quick question, I cant seem to find a post about engine wiring and what size wire to use. I m building the revell 71 HEMI Cuda and I want to attmpt to wire it. What guage wire should i use. I have some wire froma nd old phone cord, but i think it looks too big. So what does everyone use? Thanks for your help in advance

if it looks about right then go for it. for ignition wire i use detail master ignition wire or detail wire. for hoses i use detail master hoses of different sizes

Most old electronic devices are a great source for wire. Just have a set of calipers on had to measure them for scaling. Just look for coils or motors. Old hard drives and/or CD roms are great.
