Volvo 740 Clutch.

Hi,
Our Volvo 740GL 2 litre manual estate (with a hydraulic clutch) has just stopped.
There is no pressure when the clutch pedal is depressed and the gear stick will go into any position even with the engine running, but it won't drive!
Has anybody got any suggestions?
Thanks,
Tony

Re: Volvo 740 Clutch.

How is the fluid level in the Brake Master CYlinder should be on the left side of the car when looking into the engine bay as I am assuming you are in england with a Right hand drive.

The clutch system runs off of the brake system FYI.

Re: Volvo 740 Clutch.

Hello Mr TheMan,
Since I posted, I've renewed the clutch slave and repaired the clutch master cylinder using a Volvo the rubber seal kit.
Now the problem I have is it won't pressure up. I've bled it 3 times until no air bubbles come out but there is still no pressure.
Thanks,
Tony
