Question 93 gt 3.3 turn off when put in drive

well the car turns on great i take off great it just when i have driven for 15 min or more the problem begins. first as i start to come to still at a light the car begins to make ugly noises like grinding and misfireing. i put it in neutral and its fine. the idle is a little high. but as soon as i press on gas serval times or take of on giving it gas and shifting it on drive fast. it take off and works fine for while and does it agian. also when it does do it i can turn it off for ten minutes or so and it will turn on great again and work fine for another 15 or so min. anybody have any ideas. thanks

Its most likly the transmission, the TCC Solenoid.

You should be able to do this DIY, heres a link with all the important stuff
