hey all, so i kind of have a general headlight question, I have a 94 accord, and one of the headlights, the plastic part of it looks "dirty" like a dirty yellowish color, i wash it from the outside, and nothing appears to come off. Could it be on the inside? do i need to use some kind of cleaner? any help appreciated.

Re: headlight question
Probably you need to replace the lens. Discoloration of a plastic headlight lens after 10 or more years isn't uncommon.

Re: headlight question
There's some stuff that is supposed to be able to restore lens clarity (I forget the name) but i think it requires you to remove the headlight and clean from the inside. I don't think regular cleaning from the inside will get it.

Re: headlight question
your right, it wouldnt be uncommon for it to lose clarity. The issue is that around here its $100 for a used replacement headlight, and id rather spend $15 on a cleaner and take the time to take it apart than spend $100. Thats just me though. I figure both headlights will be replaced at some point, but im not at that point yet.

Re: headlight question
If you search on the Chevy Venture or maybe the Pontiac Montana board (one of the two), they talked about using a specific headlight cleaner that was effective on removing the yellow film.....sorry I can't remember exactly where....Glen
