Re: transmission

Sounds like the end clutches went out on it. You can buy some new ones from Mitsu and have them installed by somebody who knows the internals of the tranny. The same thing just happened to my brothers 1g, he's just been driving around without his OD and he hates it. lol

Re: transmission

thats funny, my car is a 1gen as well. the tranny has been slipping for a while, so it must be the end clutches, to bad i can't just covert it over to a 5spd, then i will be really happy, bc she will have the power she diserves. thanks

Re: transmission

I'm betting that the seals are going out. Does it slip in every gear, or just in OD? Also does it take a second or two from when you put it in gear until it acutually goes into gear?

Re: transmission

Sounds like its time to grow some testicles and buy a manual.

Re: transmission

Didnt mean to be an ass, I thought I put a at the end of it. I meant to just get rid of the car and buy a manual, not swap, I know that thats a hard swap to do. Sorry if I offended anyone.

I was joking by the way . And I'm not an idoit you.... you.... STUPID HEAD!

Re: transmission

no biggie man, but i have looked and looked and i cant find a 5spd gst or gsx, or talon awd, and if i do i'm going to be taken the motor out of the car that i have, since it only has about 1,500 miles on it. once again didn't bother me.
