Overdrive Band

Wondering if anyone can help me with my problem. The check engine light o my "01 Grand Cherokee Laredo has been on so I took it and got it checked out and it is showing that the overdrive band is off. Can anyone help with this. I have heard one person's opinion just wondering what other options I have.

Re: Overdrive Band

Just a little more info on what the Jeep is doing. It does not want to shift from 1st to 2nd half of the time. I have to get it to 4500 rpm's before it will shift. After it goes to 2nd it is fine. So all help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Overdrive Band

i've been in the transmission buisness for 15 years and have never heard of a code saying that there is an overdrive band off. If you can, get me the code number andI will tell you what is going on with it.
