Deck Install - how important iS GROUND
Hey, i recently tried to isntall a high-powered deck. it powered up, but when i tried to put the cd in, the power kept lagging and shut off [ on the deck ].
I noticed that i did not have the ground properly grounded. could that have caused the power to lagg [ there is a fuse on the ground wire of the deck that i think might have blown? ] |

Re: Deck Install - how important iS GROUND
If you don't have your equipment properly grounded it will not hesitate to malfunction. I had a stereo system hooked up but the ground wasn't right and I kept blowing fuses in my power wire from the battery. At first I thought I needed a fuse with higher resistance, put one in and it melted the damn thing

Then it would overheat and shut itself off til I unhooked the power wire. So I in=magine this is whats going on with your deck on a much smaller power scale (300 watts vs 2,400)
