steering

yea so i broke the tensioner pulley on the alternator belt... got it fixed and now my power steering is non existant... wtf. i added some fluid and it got better, i figured it just needed to work itself out but then it just got worse and worse. Anything that would directly affect the steering that u guys can think of?

Re: steering

Belt routed wrong and slips around pump pulley, return or pressure line crimped somewhere?

Re: steering

smaller pulley causing the OEM belt to be too slack, or misrouted as Max suggested? How low was the p/st fluid? If the pump is growling, you may need to bleed the air out of the system by slowly turning the wheels lock-to lock and checking for foam in the fluid (not an easy task to see the p/st pump reservoir on a 3800). If fluid is foamy, let it settle and then repeat process until fluid stays up and no longer foams.
