Angry 93 Buick Regal Over Heated and now wont Starting

I have a 93 Buick Regal Custom 3.8L that has overheated. It would not start very easy after it overheated. You have to crank it over for a very very long time before it will start(if your lucky), if not you have to charge the battery and retry later. When I get it to start it will run fine as long as the RPM is up, when I try to let it idle it sputters and dies. Then you have to go thru the process all over again. I have checked the fuel pump and replaced the fuel filter and made sure gas is getting up to the injector. Could it be any sensor that may have gotten damaged? If anyone has any ideas I would be grateful for the help. I am now checking the injectors to see if they may have gotten damaged from the overheating.
