dash lights

Could someone help me with a strange problem? My sister-in-law has a 2001 buick regal that is blowing the fuse for the dash lights. The radio light and other lights seem to work fine. I know there is a short somewhere and I was wondering if someone can give me a good starting point.

THANKS

Re: dash lights

If it is the Instrument Panel "Cluster" fuse blowing then the Instrument Panel (IP) would be the best starting point. You can remove the dash bezel and then the IP to do an inspection or further troubleshooting. There is a decoder module with diodes in the IP that could short out.
