fuel pump
im not getting power to the fueal pump soo i baught a brand new fuel pump and put it in and still no power now i went a baught ne of those meters u can check your relays and coils and stuff with how do i check if the relays are bad and what else shoudl i check?? please help asap

What year is your truck? You can look to see if you have another relay with the same part number on it and swap it out.

Did you check the fuse for the fuel pump?
Also, some vehicles have an inertia switch that shuts off power to the pump if the vehicle is involved in a collision or if you just bump into something too hard.The switch can be reset. |

its a 1997 and where would the fuse be and the swith or whatveer i dont kno where enything at or how to check enything please helpppp

The fuse box should be under the left side of the dash,or in the engine compartment or both. The fuses will be labeled.As for the inertia switch, you need to check a repair manual to see if your truck has one and if so where. My S-10 manual only goes to 93 and doesn't mention one.

Your vehicle doesn't have a inertia switch.
When you check for B+ at the pump you need to do it at initial key on or with the engine cranking, (there are other ways to get B+ to the pump but this is easiest to describe). The fuse you need is in the underhood elec center or UBEC, so is the relay.
