'95 M3 VS 748 dragging
It's an old article, and generally I don't pay much attention to car vs sportbike drag racing articles. And this one doesn't post much info, but for reassurance sake, after reading it, would you say it makes sense?
http://www.europeancarweb.com/projec...vs_ducati_748/ They both make about 150-55 mph stock.

Re: '95 M3 VS 748 dragging
this weekend theres a TV show down here where they will be racing the new daytona 675 versus our Ford Falcon XR6 turbo.
http://www.ford.com.au/range/falcon/...turbosedan.asp the driver is one of our older but still top touring cars drivers with seasons in the euro circuits. the rider is the top instructor for our superbike school. in the article i read, the rider dropped the bike towards the end of the first lap due to cold tyres. pulls out the "spare" bike (don't we all wish we could have a spare 675) and then goes "slow" and beats the cars lap times by 7 seconds. on his best lap he was 11 seconds infront until he binned it

Re: '95 M3 VS 748 dragging
That sounds like a road course. But this is even more looney, in this case, how is that even possible at a drag race, the bike takes a holeshot win front standing still, but from a roll on at 25 mph, suddenly the M3 with 400hp is keeping up, and magically it disappears after 120 mph?? I'd say you'd need at least 600hp in that chasis to scratch the bike's paint.
