Black interior & headlining.

Had a late night yesterday painting my headlining and interior trims satin black while I've got the carpets and seats out after some welding.Years ago you could get cans of brush on vinyl paint which is no longer available.
I stripped out plastic trims and cleaned those and the headlining with that fab ammonia based foam cleaner which is excellent for the dash too(brings out heater vents etc like new)then used the solvent based stuff you use on plastic bumpers before painting which stops the paint falling off in extreme temperature.
Gave everything 2 good coats of satin black from an aerosol, looked a bit stripey at first but this morning it all looks excellent.
Took the oppurtunity to clean and waxoyl around windows and sunroof gulleys while she's stripped out.Last job before interior refit is to black stonechip the floor,I prefer stonechip to underseal based products as it actually goes hard rather than staying sticky and messy.
The black carpet was faded so I flicked over it with black basecoat after it had been jetwashed, looks like new and if you don't apply too much it won't go stiff as a doormat!
Now for the roll cage,I've looked at buying ready made but too expensive,my mate races lightning rods so I'm going to ask him to make me one.Rear only as I like having a dash board.
New pics on RPR and car domain soon."pimpmcdaddies"
