Location of cruise module - 96 Jetta
Because the cruise control fails, I want to replace the module but I can't locate it. My Bentley manual says it's in the left 'A' pillar but all I can see is the fuse panel. If anyone has "been there done that", I would appreciate your help. Does the fuse panel have to come out to get to the cruise module?

Re: Location of cruise module - 96 Jetta
From my understanding of labeling, the left A piller should be to the left side of the dash under the trim in front of the door. The pillar is usually the part that supports the roof and goes down until you get to the floor. A is the front most, B is the one between the doors...
At any rate, it should be to the left of the dash rather than behind it. |

Thanks for the correction veedubmechanic. I try to help, but if it's a model that I'm not familiar with I have to guess. I'm a weekend mechanic only.
