no rear right turn signal

ok guys ive been at this for a while now... I have no turn signal from the rear of my truck. front blinks, very rapidly. I've tried two different NEW bulbs in each of the alloted areas. I still have the quick clicking in the cab and no rear blinker. When I turn on my parking lights i get lights on. Hope someone can help, i still haven't gone to bed, and work in 5 hours. I noticed this problem today, as I was headed to the store

Re: no rear right turn signal

Does your brake light work on that side Mike? I believe that it shares the same common circuit as your signal light

Next how about the 4 way flasher on that side?

Your head light thing is probably just the switch which oddly enough may be related to the flasher (although I don't know how.

Oh It's perfectly normal for a signal light to flash fast when you have another one on that side not working. They might not flash at all sometimes and even a wrong bulb can cause that to happen

Re: no rear right turn signal

most likely a wire Mike.

I know that it doesn't help much, but if you have a test light you can narrow down where it stops working pretty easy

Re: no rear right turn signal

Check your grounds. They are the only common element I see here...

Later...

Re: no rear right turn signal

Mike, Test lights are cheap. $10.00 will get you one that'll last your lifetime unless you start swinging wrenches for a living. I only have a cheapy and look at all the stuff that I do

Re: no rear right turn signal

Have you looked at the plastic base of the light that you remove from your truck. If not, look at it and see if the plastic base of the light appears to be melted. If so, then the socket the light pluggs into is defective. it's a dealer item the last time I got one, or a junk yard would have one.

Re: no rear right turn signal

ok, it was the fuse. The other day when i checked, iu obviously looked at the wrong one. I finally had a chance to go outside since its not raining. its nice. it still gets me how the fuse would not affect the front as well, but oh well. thanks for everyone's assistance.
