Clutch/transmission problem

My car's been having some troubling clutch/transmission problems, but I've been pushing "just one more drive" out of it for the past week. Today it finally got to be too much for it, so I'm trying to figure out what to do.

For the past couple weeks, the clutch pedal has been feeling remarkably loose and "numb" (not transmitting vibrations, etc.), and I've had to push it down farther and farther to get it to engage.

Today it stopped engaging completely, even though I can push the pedal down all the way to the floor. It's very loose, and pushing all the way is very easy. When it's all the way down, none of the gears will engage at all except for reverse, which starts to grind if I attempt to shift into it.

I have a 1995 Civic LX with a 5-speed manual transmission and 152k miles. I haven't yet done my 150k service.

Does anyone have any ideas? Is this a fluids issue that could be fixed temporarily by replenishing? Or do I need to get it towed?

Re: Clutch/transmission problem

Definently check to see how low your fluid is. After that, look into the clutch master and slave cylinders to see if something is wrong with them.

I agree with CivicSpoon... Check your Clutch Fluid, if that's full, your Master or Slave Cylinder might need replacing. It shouldn't be a big deal.

Good luck!
