2000 Continental alarm randomly turns on
My 2000 Continental's car alarm keeps going off randomly. Stops OK with keypad, remote or key. Any help on why it might keep getting tripped and how to stop this annoyance to us and neighbors?

 Welcome to AF !! Most of the time this problem is traced back to a Door Switch not closing the circuit properly. Another cause that's been reported many times was the Hood Switch. Then there's been some posts where these two possibilities were eliminated and the damn alarm still sounds. One of us even had his car impounded 'cause it made too much noise. I suggest you disconnect the horn if this becomes a problem that can't be solved quickly.
