Rear Axle Width
I've searched the forum and didn't get any results, but seem to recall a thread a long time ago that gave the rear axle widths of different year models of mustangs...I have a 98 GT, and if I remember correctly, that axle is 3 inches narrower than the later year models, and somewherer in there they were only 2 inches narrower than the lastest year models excluding 05-up...Anyone know if this is true? Reason I'm asking is that I'm considering putting 10.5 inch wide wheels on the back of my GT...however, if this axle is 3 inches narrower than the later models, it still is not going to fill lup the rear wheel wells, or if it does, it'll be the wrong way due to the backspacing on the wheels...I'm no expert when it comes to backspacing, but I like the Cobra R type wheels and would love to have a deep dish look on the rear...I'm already running 9" wide 17's all the way around now, but the fronts definately fill up the front wheel wells more than the rears fill up the rear wheel wells :-(
Any help here would be greatly appreciated guys....I know someone out there can set me on the right path....

Re: Rear Axle Width
You can put Deep dish bullits on your car, they fit fine. Hell even the AFS 03 Cobra rims 18x10.5's are flush.. fit fine.
