Transmission- NO REVERSE

I drive a 1988 Camaro with the TH-700R4 transmission. Within the last few weeks I started having trouble with it not going into reverse when it was hot. It will not go into reverse when it is hot but will when it cools down for about 3 hours. Any suggestions?

the sunshell in the trans is probably broken time to have the tranny rebuilt
