Re: Anyone ever seen.....

The picture is of a Sedan Deville.

The Modelhaus sells a '61 Series 62 coupe. It's very nice and a bit pricey. They also sell the '62 Fleetwood sedan.

Re: Anyone ever seen.....

woops, so it is! I just googled it and didn't check obviously.

The guy I'd be building it for told me '61 and '62 are quite different. Is it just small stuff I could fabricate? Could you show me a pic if so?

Re: Anyone ever seen.....

I don't know the cars well enough to know all the changes. He can tell you best or do a thorough search for images. There never was an annual kit of a '62 coupe; Johan did the Fleetwood sedan that year.

Re: Anyone ever seen.....

looking into it I found that R&R makes a 62 Deville. R&R's quality is touch and go, they just got a new owner so I don't know if there quality has gone up or deminished. but I would still say NOT to buy unless you have a good look at the product. some of there stuff is nice, but some of it is garbage. if your insterested you can get it through Star models

You truly are the king of kings.

I await a response from Modelhaus, but thanks for that link.

Re: Anyone ever seen.....

The light pods in the rear bumper are oriented horizontally on the '61,vertically on the '62.That would require you to buy both resin models and saw away.

Re: Anyone ever seen a '62 Coupe Deville kit?

The '62 Coupe de Ville roof is quite different than the '61...thicker C-pillars, different shape, also the grille design is different.
