99 codes. shifting and rev problems

i got a check engine light.and here is what i got:

P0401 EGR Flow insufficient

p0171 system too lean (bank 1)

p0174 system to lean (bank 2)

when i drive it will start to shake when its in overdrive and its kinda jumpy around anywhere from30-50 mph. didnt test it with overdrive off.it seems to stutter a lil before it revs. and seems fine after 2,000rpms...

it also does it with overdrive off... feels like when you have a trailer on the back of a truck and it kinda pulls and shakes. i was told it might be a shutter or something in the transmission? please help, and thanks in advance...

Re: 99 codes. shifting and rev problems

I just had the same problem with my 2001 Cougar. It turned out to be a senser that controls the EGR valve. Don't remember the exact name but I hope this will help.
