2003 Grand Am Shock or Suspension noise
I have 2003 Grand Am and when driving down a normal road with its defects here and there I have a contant type of squaking / rubber squeaking rubbing type of noise. Its in the front left area. If I push up and down on car on that side I also hear a similar noise like rubber rubbing squeak but not as quick and abrubt as when driving. Is this maybe just the Shock or more involved? Any help appreciated.

Welcome to AF!
Sounds like you bushings on the sway bar, or lower control arm is squeaking. Auto parts stores carry lubricant for bushings. !! I would NOT use oil, or any other type of spray lube !!

Re: 2003 Grand Am Shock or Suspension noise
Hey i had the same problem with my 03 GT. They replaced the strut and it went away but then you could hear a scraping sound and they greased the brake calipers. It is fine now. Hope that helps.

Then the pieces fall out, or crack more, not good. But this doesnt happen overnight, takes a while for it to penitrate the rubber. They make Lube just for bushing squeeks.
