dynamat question--how much do i need

I want to add some sound insulation to truck but im not sure how much I need I Plan on doing the doors first but how much would I need to start I also hear that second skin is better then dynamat any word on that????

it depends on what all you want to do, one how much you will need. i did my whole truck, doors floor back wall and headliner. made a world of difference. i used 100 square ft. of edead deadening. you can get it off ebay. its the same specs as dynamat and silencer and other name brands, the only thing i noticed different is that is doesnt quite stick as good unless you heat it. i always wipe the surface down and clean good then use heat gun to get hot and a screw driver to handle to form it and stick it.

I think the doors and some parts of the floor close to the speakers would work best for me would I get by with 40 sq feet if not ill might as well get the 120sq feet for twenty or so extra bucks vs 60 sq feet for 80 bucks

ya i paid 130 shipped for 120 sq ft when i bought it a year and half ago. i would say about 40-50 for all the doors and then 15-20 to do back of cab wall and some floor around back. might as well get the extra and do it all.
