Alternator and Wiper linkage. 2000

After an amazing adventure removing the alternator and battery and replacing both the Battery light is still on and the wipers now sit in the middle of the windshield.

Battery was shot. Alternator is new but the light still remains on. Ground? ways to measure charge? Any ideas?

I took the wiper linkage off the motor and the wipers work but I cannot get it aligned so that the wipers store and run in the right place. Could someone take a picture of there linkage so I can mimic its setup?

Thanks for any help.

Run the wipers on the delay setting once. When the wipers are at the paused position, shut off the ignition. Losen the screw in the center drive post. Lift off and rotate the assembly so that the V in the catch is ~1/8" from the corner where it will catch on. Tighten everything back down and run the wipers to see if they park.
