rear disks done!
ok, ive got my rear disks hooked up. took them from a 92 gsr integra. also snagged the booster/master and a 35/40 prop valve from an old prelude. swapped everything in the rear except the compensator arms.
fortunately everything came right off the integra but my civic was another story. three of the bolts were froze to the bushings and it took the cutting torch to free them up. turns out one of the fittings on the integra master was a different size (it had abs) so brake lines had to be made. one for the different fitting and one because it stripped coming out of the prop valve. put new rotors and pads all around on as well and damn does it hunker down now. very nice upgrade as the stock brakes sucked. i highly recommend to all. even if your civic doesnt go fast you can make it stop fast fairly easily. |

Re: rear disks done!
So the brake MC and Booster were from an ABS integra? I heard that ABS parts wont work in this case. Did you swap the front brakes too or are those stock? Anyways props on a nice upgrade..I need to do it myself.

Re: rear disks done!
yep, it had abs. thats why i had to get the prop valve from the prelude. when i looked for it in the integra thats when i noticed all the lines in and out of the abs "box". if the one fitting wasnt larger it would be bolt on but you at least have to change one line.
front brakes are just stock. master and booster are much larger than stock and just fit but bolt right up after removing the intake. |

Re: rear disks done!
You can use abs parts but you have to use them together, abs booster with abs master cylinder, non abs booster with non abs master cylinder. I can still see DX behind your "1500 s"

Re: rear disks done!
yeah i put some pics of that in there too. the geo storm shifter didnt work out. as the weather got hotter it wouldnt hold together so it was replaced with that one, from a new mustang.
