Odometer reads DONE, won't start

We had the check engine light go on in our 2002 Town & Country MiniVan. In the past, this was usually a non-issue (check gas cap, O2 sensor, etc.)

This time, in addition to the check engine light, the oil light came on and the vehicle wouldn't start. The vehicle was indeed low on oil, so I added a quart.

Still won't start. THEN in the odometer, it reads "done". Actually, since reading these forums, I noticed that the odometer put up some fault codes (I believe) and then DONE, here is what they said:

P 1684
P 0601
P 0456

done

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob

Re: Odometer reads DONE, won't start

p1684=battery disconnected during last 50 starts.
p0601=internal control module memory checksum error
p0456=evaporative emision system leak (very small leak)

the p0601 is the bad one, internal pcm (computer) problem. I think you will have to replace it, if it is not under warranty anymore, It may be covered under the emissions warranty I think is a little bit longer.

I looked around a little , go to this link, guy had the same problem.

Thanks so much for the quick reply!

Not looking forward to finding out how much P 0601 code is going to cost me.
