Exhaust leak?

Hey, I am hearing a ticking noise comeing from the rear of the engine. It sounds like an exhaust leak and it goes away when the engine warms up. I cant figure out where it is. Has anyone had this happen? Let me know..THANX

Re: Exhaust leak?

Welcome to AF!!

Exhaust leaks like this can happen due to gaskets failing or due to small manifold cracks. When the pipes expand the leak will go away. The best way to find out where this is coming from is to put the car up on a lift and then start the car. You should be able to pinpoint the area where the noise is coming from.
