Re: negotiate

most dealerships are trying to move 06 stock for 07 coming in. so they should be able to work with you.

Re: negotiate

They came down to 34K MSRP and I got a discount for being a gm supplier about 1500. So it was about 32K, plus 0%. So Im not complaining. Its good to have one again. I had a Tahoe and I didnt like it and missed having the bed to haul things.

Re: negotiate

Just tell them you will give them 250 over invoice, plus all aplicable rebates. I bought my 04 half ton crew, Just a few weeks after it came out for 31k fully loaded, sorry only things it didnt have was leather and dvd player. MSRP of 39,900 and 42,000 after dealer mark up, and I was up against the wall. I bought mine in Houston, where all they sell is 2wd's for the most part, and I need 4wd (they had 5 to choose from). I live in Eastern Washington state (the land of snow and ice in the winter). Call Dave Smith motors, they sell all vehicles from chevy aveo's to Z06 corvettes for about 250 over invoice. Have them quote you and tell your dealer to match it. Thats what I did.

Re: negotiate

Go to this page http://www.edmunds.com/new/2007/chev...rge/index.html and fit it with the type of pickup you were looking at reg, ext or crew. bed length 4wd or not. Add the applicable options and see about what the invoice would be. Stick to the 250 over their invoice, they would be crazy not to take it. This late in the model year, they will have their dealer holdback money, factory to dealer rebates. If you have anymore questions let me know

Re: negotiate

I just got my 2006 Silverado about 1 1/2 weeks ago for invoice. I had faxed a bunch of dealers what I wanted and many (14 out of 17) faxed me back offers and spec sheets. Most wanted at least $250 above invoice. One dealership (Courtesy Chevrolet in Canal Fulton, OH) did straight up invoicing with all of their offers. 2 other dealers had quoted on the same truck, but the lowest they would go was the 250 over inv. Obviously I went with the Courtesy dealership.

They also got me a Line-X liner at cost. I called the two Line-X dealers near me and the lowest price was $550+tax for over the rails. I got it for $429 total by going through the dealership.

From the offers I got through all of the dealers, I wouldn't pay MSRP. The way I did it, I didn't have to haggle as I put on the fax that I would also be contacting other dealers and the lowest price gets my business. I didn't get one offer that was at MSRP or even within $1,000 of MSRP.

Re: negotiate

Man, a good car dealer will take some time but you can beat them down. If you don't have much time go the fax method. Low stress and low confrontation. If you have time, play two dealers off each other. I got my truck brand new for way under sticker price. With gas prices like they are, they almost can't give them away. I think my sticker price on the window was ~24,000. I got it for under 14,500 including tags and dealer fees (unfortunately not taxes). It took about 6 hours of me almost walking out, but I got a deal on it. Plus, I had them throw in a bed liner. Mine was a work model, so I made them install cruise control too. I almost felt sorry for them. Of course, I've seen 06 work trucks advertised in NC for 14,500. Doubt they will go much lower, but it's definitely worth a try.

Re: negotiate

I don't mean to rub your nose in it, but, I got my '05 ext cab Z71 for a little over $24K OTD. But that was during the "employee discount" days.
