Is our young Bill France striding to be a ditctator in the Nascar world? I have not seen a clip of Mike Helton or John Darby anywhere in about a month??

Re: France Dictatorship?

NASCAR has always had very direct and authoritative control from the France family and that's why they've never had a split like American Open Wheel (USAC/CART/IRL) or Sports Cars (IMSA/Grand Am/ALMS)

I second that, and add that so long as NASCAR continues on its path of acquiring more fans and money that it knows what to do with, no one will question the France family leadership. That's one boat not worth rocking. For now.

I was just saying that last year by this time, it seemed that Helton wass after everybody, and now, you could almost walk through the garage, ask everybody where Helton was and they'd just look at you, "who?".

Re: France Dictatorship?

i havent heard his name in quite some time myself. the thing that pisses me off about those guys is the rule mandating the gears to the teams. that in itself eliminates a lot of the creativity of the mechanics and i think its stupid. to many damn rules, and they just keep making more and more.
