Cool 1995 C1500 windsheild wiper/radio problem. Short?

Hey, I have a 1995 C1500 2WD with the 4.3 V6 5 spd. recently, i used the wipers and after a minute or so, the radio started to make a simotanious popping noise, the radio light was flashing and the wipers quit. (yet they were still trying to move, just never went) I was wondering if anyone else had this parblem and knows what this is. I tried the wipers in the rain, when it was dry, the radio off, etc. It still did the same thing. I think there might be a short somewhere, but im not too sure. PLEASE HELP! WERE EXPECTING RAIN IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS! lol thanks in advance, Deven

Have you had the wiper module recall fixed? There is a spot on the control module on these trucks that do not stay soldiered together for some reason. Anyway, that's a spot to start looking. By the way, that module is on the front of the wiper motor. I believe it is held on by one small bolt.
