Re: javelin parts available?

uh, 304, not 340, right??

There are some parts available. All the mechanical parts and some rubber parts are easily available. Timing chain covers on the V8's used to be a problem, they were aluminum; included the oil pump and used to corode like crazy if neglected. However, repro ones are available now, but I do not know how good they are.

Unlike the GM and Ford pony cars, there is little repro stuff made. Trim pieces, interior kits etc are available repro or NOS. For body panels, there are some fiberglass front end parts made, but almost all of the steel parts are used. There is some NOS parts, but they are pretty expensive.

The Javelin is a beautiful and under-appreciated car, but would be a great project. IMO buy the most complete, rust free example you can find and hit the net for research.
