where is water pump?
have a 98 ford escort and see water leaking from around where i think the water pump is. the question is how do i get to it and how hard is it to do. i havent replace a h2o pump in years and the last time i did i could stand in the engine compartment so not used to these sidewasys engines!!!!

Re: where is water pump?
The water pump is driven by the timing belt so you have to remove the timing belt cover to see it. Not sure what engine you have.....
