1990 735i Noise When Slowing Down or Idling
I have a 1990 BMW 735. I have begun to notice that when I slow down and come to an idle (at a stop light) that there is a noise that vibrates a bit up the steering column. The noise goes away if I shift into neutral and rev the engine. Also, there is no noise when I am at higher speeds--it only appears when I slow down or come to a stop. Can anyone help me figure out what this is? Thanks!

Check the motor mounts. Something in the engine compartment or the exhaust system is making contact with the chassis.
