I see those gauges on ebay for 20 or so bucks.. well, they are just for looks.. but they have a nice color to them.. are they worth it. .or has anyone had any experience with em.. an pics??

and second.. how hard is it for a newb to install a tachometer.. i have no idea.. my cluster does not have one, i herd you just wire it in to the ignition coil.. ya.. well.. i am at a loss on how that would ever be done.. what is exactly involved in that. thanks for you help

Re: a few things tach and gauges

all you need for a tach install is as follows
1.tach
now all you need to do to install the tach is
1.find a mounting point
2.find a good ground
3.find a power source(to go on when you turn your key to the acc position)
4.you might find a good source(power) at the fuse box(just use a test light to determine which turns on when the key does)
5.wire to the negative side of your ignition coil or your tach service connector.
