CV joint????
When im driving my right tire seems like its rubbing up against something. When im press on my breaks i hear crackling sounds and when i turn i hear crackling sounds as well. What might the problem be????

not sure but mine does the same thing and i noticed my cv boot is torn on my drivers side

if it sounds like a click click click when your turning it could be the cv joint. And if the cv boot is allready torn open your prob. gonna need an axle not just the boot.

yeah
yeah its the cv joint if it makes the noise go ahead and get the axles replaced theres no use in buying another boot and regreasing it and sealing it (i already done it) my left side still cracks so i need to take out that axle, if your a do it yourselfer goto pep boys or whatever and get the manual for the civic me and my dad got that and it helped us alot when we replaced the right side, and your probably gonna need an air compressor and an impact gun the wheel spindle nut is a bitch to get off, we broke 2 1 inch thick big ass screwdrivers trying to use a breaker bar......good luck

I've heard a lot of people say if you tear a boot just replace the whole axel.

I'm a pro at the clicking around a corner problem. I have it every 4 months because i always end up tearing the boot. It means i have to get the axle replaced. i found a local shop that put one on with a lifetime warrenty. it works out great since i have it replaced every 4 months. I finally got smart and ordered a energy suspension tierod and ball joint boots. they haven't torn for 6 months now and are still holding up strong. i suggest getting those if you can't find some hack to keep replacing them every 4 months for free. :frog:

something is probably wrong with your driving if you tear them every 4 months.......
unless your like a rally racer or sumthin

replace the axles - cheaper than 4 boots. 4 boots @ my work run $352 labor $260 part + tax= $633.45 Axles would run about $400 installed. we sell the boots instead - more money. God i love working for Honda

400 installed god damn! i installed mine myself for (78 for the axle) (2 for a new spindle nut) 80 bucks i installed mine, and i bought a replacment boot for 10 bucks, and honda killed me on my brakes i ordered the 3 boots for the brakes on each side and it costed me 50 bucks!!!

Axles 2 both . . . . . . . . .
Boots are a waste of time. We charge 4hrs of labor for boots @ $88.00, boots run about $65 a piece. Axles on average are $80 a piece with 2hrs labor @ $88.00, less exensive, quicker to do, brand new. Don't use reman shit, same quality you will find in a junkyard. If your tearing your boots every 4 months - you may have other problems Honda Service Advisor |

reman?? do you mean remade? i dunno alls i know is honda charges way too much to service cars its a freakin rip off
i love honda and everthing but they rip you off when it comes to that shyt

reman - remanufactored parts. Honda does charge a lot but atleast you know the parts will fit correctly. I don't use honda everything or it would still be a pooch.
