I've got a 1996 Aurora and when i went to work in the morning (5 a.m.) earlier this week i discovered all my speedometer, fuel, and RPM gagues' lights were out. The headlights still came on automatically, but i was unable to turn my foglights on/off and i noticed that my twilight sentinel no longer kept the headlights on for a few minutes after turning off the car. I could still turn my dome lights on and off manually and my center console DIS and radio lights were still working.
I already checked fuses, but no luck there. Anyone have this problem before or any ideas on solutions? |

Re: Dash lights out
If all fuses are good then your only choice is the instrument pannel circuit board. When the circuit board fails one of the little printed circuits fails and a group of bad things happen. You are in luck, All the 96-99 inst.Panel circuit boards are the same so it should be easy to find one in junk yard. If you are a good bargainer you can get a whole new "ip" for $40.00 if you are a bad trader should be no more than $100.00. Don't get "ip" from a 1995 Aurora since these are unique and don't works on later models.

Re: Dash lights out
I had this problem with my car and it was my daytime module, which as can recall the was over $400. It is location under your steerwheel, open the panel and it will be right in front of your face.
