Thumbs down Now they actually quote the movie..

Sitting at a red light and a honda pulls up next to me, this piece of crap accord it sounded like someone stuffed papertowels in its muffler. Anyway, he sits there revving his engine acting like he is all bad blasting his rap music. The light turns and we take off he rolls down his window and is yelling at me saying that I'm "granny shifting and why don't I double clutch". How many times has this kid watched FATF. Seems 1 too many to me. Maybe instead of trying to copy the movie he should get a real car becuase he got smoked by about 5 car lenghs. death to the FATF wannabees

I have said that sarcastically before, but if he was serious he should be shot for pure stupidity. Granted I enjoyed TFATF for the action and I just like car movies, too bad they didn't talk to anybody that knew anything about cars.

DOWN WITH IGNORANCE!

"nice car, whats the retail on that thing?" is one weve used,
and "MANASHE! (sp)"
"MONICA!!!!!!"
"Too soon junior!"
"not a bad way to spend $5" :hehe:

I loved the movie, who cares if its realistic or not, more than half the people here probally dont even drive but create great stories, I love reading them, why? Because its fun, and a great story is worth more than the truth sometimes. I tell the truth in my stories, and I expect many of them to not be believed, but dosent matter to me, because I'll still be on the road having fun weather I post here or not, and to some, thats more important :bandit:

(had to use it)

Not to mention, that can be tough to do if you have an automatic.

hell if you beat him by 5 cars, then you can granny shift and double clutch all you want. Means his car is even more pathetic. I like the movie, ok it is unrealistic, but it has some nice cars in it, and is the best/biggest movie of its kind, and it has increased the popularity of street racing immeasurably, which is good for all of us who were into the tuning and racing scene in the first place.:smoka:

Only bad thing is it has got the cops to realize the street racing scene is bigger than they thought. Just means ya gotta be more careful now so its not a big deal. I liked the movie, had to stop myself from nit picking at it once I did that I enjoyed it more. But its not a movie I'd watch twice.

i suppose its not really a movie that is for people who know anythin about cars, cos its wrong basically. if you know fuck all about them then you wont realise its faults, and on the front it is a cool movie--fast cars, women, crime etc.

best thing we (me and Terminal Velocity) ever heard was towards my Nova when i still had the old hood, which had a hole in the center for clearance reasons, so the air cleaner stuck through.

we heard this... and i shit you not... "hey!! its a 10 second car!!"

must of confused me for a blown charger or something? hahah

we still laugh about that now...
