Smile eagle vision tie rod end

How do I replace the inner tie rod end on a 1997 eagle vision esi 3.5 ? I can't even reach my hand in there to touch it, from the top or bottom, never mind changing it. Is there a trick to getting to this?

Re: eagle vision tie rod end

Actually it wasn't that hard at all. You can access it from the top. First you have to remove air cleaning tubes from the back of the engine (loose the clamps and remove the tubes from the engine), that will give you more space. Then it's for the best if you knee on your engine from the front (cold recommended ). Then you should have no problems reaching the inner tie-rod end bolts. And I suggest you to use some kind of a light for the beter visibility.

Thank you very much. It looked like it would be much more trouble then that, but I will give it a shot.
