Hi, I am a new member and about to turn 16. I am falling in love with these Roadmasters! I was wondering if i could get some pointers on buying a used Roadmaster? Thanks all!

Buying a used Roadmaster should be treated like buying any used car. You want to thoroughly look over the car and check it's overall condition, take it for a road test, check any service records or reciepts (even running a Carfax is a good idea,) and also have a trusted mechanic look at the car. These cars don't seem to have any "major" problems with them. Some problems that are inherent to these vehicles include the power windows. GM used a poorly designed clip to guide the window in it's channel. Over time, these clips break causing the window to come off the track and be inoperable. A redesigned clip is available from the dealer, and installing it yourself really isn't a big deal. Another problem associated with these cars is a clogged or leaking heater core. A good preventative maintenance program which includes cooling system flush and fills can alleviate this problem. Other issues may include suspension problems, problems with the ignition system,( some with the Optispark 94 and up,) and certain body trim and moulding problems. Overall though these cars are definitely worth the money, ( especially the 94 and up LT1's

Thanks a bunch! I have been keeping my eye out for a can't miss Roadmaster deal! I too have seen the 99.99999999% positive reviwes via Google.
