99 Odyssey Need AC!

I have a 99 Odyssey that runs fine. It has a rebuilt trans, but that's another post. I live in south Louisiana and I desperately need AC. They told me it would be around $2k to fix. I have 178k miles and I can buy a car with AC for that. Is there a way to get some AC easily and for about 1/4 the cost? I think the condensor and compressor are both gone.

Sounds like you're looking to spend about $500. Will that even cover the parts? I'm not sure of the reliability but you may be able to find the parts at a salvage yard...just make sure you get them out of a van that was in a rear-end collision.
