hooking up the rear air vents

hey guy I have a 2000 extended cab silverado and I ordered a center console with the air vents how do i get it to use the vents or to direct air to the rear pasengers?

i looked into this a little at one time but never found a answer but i am pretty sure you will have to either steal a vent assembly out of a truck/suv that have the vents already or cut the vent thats in there and then somehow mold it to shape to fit.

don't those trucks have a plastic air duct that runs under the carpet to connect the A/C ?

I think they do, but the ones in the center console hook up under the dash, I think. I've had mine part way off before, but I did not pay attention to where exactly. It can't be TOO hard to hook up. Don't they add those consoles after delivery at the dealer?

I don't know about that being a dealer installed option....I'm thinking its not. I'm assuming the OEM ductwork is setup for this with trucks that come with this as an option....Best bet is to find one to check out. I would bet you could buy that "new" ... find out exactly what model truck it comes on and ask the dealer? About the only place you'll find something like that is on a wreck or from the dealer...
