tranny trouble
I have a 94 K1500 with a automatic tranny, my reverse is almost gone, its slipping real bad. I have located a transmission out of a 94 Blazer with a V6 in it. Does anyone know if this will fit in my truck? It looks like the same tranny 4L60-E, and the mounts look the same, but is it a different (weaker) tranny?
Thanks, Dom |

Re: tranny trouble
howdy there
which v-6 ? and what engine is in your rig ? anything 4.3L and up will be 90 degree same housing pattern the 94 is 4x4 right ? if not then forget it we need more info remember a v-6 tranny is gonna have less/weaker parts in it than a v-8 one thats how they did it some believe and some wont and if they have anywhere near 130k on them then its time for rebuild, ask any trans shop, this is a common issue dont get the tranny unless its at least quite a bit less than 100k on it good luck
