The Luther Burger Dammit!

I've been hearing alot lately about the ballpark that serves donut burgers and its startin to get to me becuase people act like these guys invented the damn thing... NOT TRUE. And I have never heard anyone correct them and credit the true inventor.

Here's a pic of the burger btw

Its pretty much a bacon cheeseburger but instead of using a bun, you use a Krispy Kreme glazed donut. And yes, it is delicious. We had em at our super bowl party this year (Add an extra patty and some sweet baby ray's and its 10x tastier and 50x more deadly )

But I would like to spread the word that this masterpiece of fine dining was the brainchild of non other than the late, great, Luther Vandross. I assume he created it during his "Big Luther" days. The ledgend says that he wanted a burger one day but had no bread at the house, so in haste, he just grabbed a krispy kreme donut and used it instead.

That is all.. I expect to be the general feeling amongst the majority of you, but true burger afficionados will understand my strong emotion on the subject.

I gotta go eat now.

I don't even know what to say....

That's so strange.

How can you possibly know Luther Vandross invented it?

I guess theres no official proof that Vandross invented it. Its not like he put a patent on it, but that can be said of a lot of great food inventions. Like whatever genius decided to combine hot dogs and macaroni. Or Toksin's EPIC Breakfast... well I guess Toksin gets credit for that one

There was an episode of "The Boondocks" about it though, called The Itis. Pretty funny.

Re: The Luther Burger Dammit!

You know I am looking at this this and I am think, hell no, no way would I eat that, but then one starts to think of all the other stuff that one does eats and says hmmm why not.

Fore example, Who would have thought of putting blue cheese on a chicken wing and yet that tastes great.
i am sure there are other concoctions(sp) that if you actually sat down to think about it you wouldn't have done, yet there they are great tasting stuff.

I guess one day I'll try it. Lord knows its not gonna mess with my waistline already.
