Newest Project

Here is what I am currently working on...Tamiya's Porsche 911 GT3...I am painting it this color.

After 2 coats

One problem I keep getting on all my models...I get what looks like little dots where the paint lands on the model and doesn't spread. I followed all the tips in the FAQ and varied the height from which I spray. I have sanded with 650 grit sandpaper (can't find any higher) but still can't get a smooth coat. Any suggestions?

The rest of the pictures are Here

all i do is a good sanding job on the bare body. Then i lay a coat of primer, sand that smooth. Then i lay 2 really thin coats of paint (im talkin like u can still see color underneath). Then, after the second coat i buff that out with like an old t-shirt or something. Then i lay a thicker coat (about average amount). and buff that out then polish it. that sould give u the nicest, smoothest paint job u've ever seen.

Nice color choice! I'm building the same kit, using TS-17 on mine. How well does the nose (front bumper) fit on yours? Mine is not as wide as the the hood (between the headlight openings) so I just centered it as best I could. Just wondering if they are all like that.

BTW- I'm a native of East Tennessee, from the Kingsport area, Rogersville to be exact. Left there in '96.

GO VOLS!!
