Will DSMlink work for a 2.4?
I'm in the process of making my dream happen. A 4G64 bottom end with a 1G head with tons of performance parts including a Garrett GT35r/40 turbo. I have been looking at different stand alone engine management systems but have come to realize that this project is becoming more expensive than I had anticipated.
Will DSMlink be able to accomodate this project with a gm MAFT? P.S. I really apreciate everyones help, but unfortunately I have to head back out in the oil patch again at 5 am so I may only be able to answer a few questions tonight before I hit the sack. Thanks.

DSMlink works fine with that type of setup, hundreds of people already doing it.

Do all the cold start up features, idle control ect work on a completely different engine? I sure hope it would work, but I've got a sneaky suspition that it won't.

IF you are talking about simply running a 2.4 bottom end with a turbo head and turbo car, there is no problem. All of the sensors are the same, so I'm not sure where the confusion is. The ECU doesn't really care if you add a little more displacement, the airflow sensor picks it up just fine. I ran a setup like this for years.

i dont think it would work on the sohc 2.4 in the nt spyders but it will work fine in your tsi since its the same wiring as the 2.0.
im not sure if its compatible with that wing though.....
