Re: OT: You gotta check out this car!

That looked pretty damn slow for a 1000hp street car (half throttle or not). And they only do 7's in the 1/4 mile, with 2000 hp? Something doesn't seem right about that.

Re: OT: You gotta check out this car!

No offense...but show me a honda that can run with this!

Let's compare it to Top Fuel Dragsters:

8000 hp top fuel dragster will run 1/4 in approx: 4 secs

2000 hp 63 lemans (from video) will run 1/4 in approx: 7 secs

If you take the difference in hp it doesn't look that bad now does it?

Re: OT: You gotta check out this car!

A Honda street car that could run like that, no. But a drag car yes. Stephan Papadakis' drag car with a turbocharged NSX engine (1,800whp) ran a 6.54 @ 211.73mph. But I guess it does make sense now, and I admit I was wrong by thinking it should have been faster. But it still didn't look that fast from the video (but it was also shot inside the car).

No biggy...it did seem weird to me how if at 1000 hp he was having problems gettin traction....I don't want to think how hard it would be to get traction with 2000 ponies!

Re: OT: You gotta check out this car!

Well I imagine it would have much larger rubber at the track, you have to figure that those tires are not only costly, but would never let that car turn on the street...
