Thumbs up Bajas and Mud

I live in florida, and i love baja bugs, i was just wondering how well do baja bugs perform in mud, since thats prolly the most off roading that is available in mid florida. any info would be great.

Re: Bajas and Mud

They should do OK. Traction is the biggest problem in mud, and with the weight (engine) in the rear on a Baja, it should rip right through it.

Aggressive tread on wide rear tires will help a lot.

Make sure the engine is protected. Wet mud on the ignition components will leave you up a bog without a paddle.

Been playing in the mud with a baja for 20 years. It's always a blast. Old VW's should never die.
