Looking at used RAV4's and looking to spend a max of 5000-7000

Hi everyone,

I really like the Rav4's and would love to own one but don't have alot of money "hence the 5000-7000 max I can afford".

What would I need to be aware of when looking at one of these?

I am probably looking at the 1996-1999 years as they seem to be the models that fit my budget.

I don't usually carry any more than 2 extra people at any given time but do carry around a small PA system once in a while. Prob. around 150-175 LB Max.

Any insight or advice would be great!
